INNOVATION as the key to growth: this is the strategy of PAMA, one of the global leaders in the production of large machine tools. The company, based in Trentino and headquartered in Rovereto, is aiming for €200 million in revenue by 2030, placing innovation at the core of its vision.
“Process innovation, product innovation and technological innovation,” explains Michele Dal Rì, Director of Product Development at PAMA. “These three levels,” he continues, “allow us to maintain profitability in the short, medium, and long term, while also structuring a consistent growth path in terms of both volume and revenue.”
PAMA employs over 350 people at its Rovereto facility, where design, engineering, assembly and production of machines for a wide range of industrial sectors take place: aerospace, energy, transportation, oil & gas, machinery manufacturing, die & mold, general machining and earth moving. The company’s research and development department is also located in Rovereto. The technical department includes 70 employees – about one fifth of the total workforce – working in highly qualified teams.
PAMA S.p.A. currently generates an annual revenue of around €145 million. Each machine is tailored to the customer’s needs, with an extremely high level of customization. “We never build the same machine twice,” Dal Rì points out. “That’s our goal: to provide tailor-made solutions for the major international players who come to us.”
